KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion were approved in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of 1000’s of sq. ft to its foundry, increased furnace capacity, accomplished construction on a distribution centre, and won approval for three extra phases of improvement.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capacity to mildew castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its most pouring output by up to 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), reduced the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleansing stations for big castings, applied new know-how and efficiency options, and doubled worker locker room amenities.
KSB went ahead with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.

GIW currently employs over 600 individuals at its Grovetown facility.
