Atlas Copco has agreed to amass the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from non-public equity agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen within the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics functions.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a world sales and repair footprint. The firm employs 265 individuals and had 2020 revenues of roughly €46.4 million.
“Industrial pumps is a segment that we’ve identified as a strategic fit for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated technology with a powerful aftermarket enterprise,” stated Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business space. “Wangen Pumpen is a robust brand and is known for quality in demanding industrial functions. This acquisition will create a strong foundation for further growth in new industrial pump segments.”

The deal is expected to be completed through the second quarter of 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
